Dr Andrew Kiyingi completed his surgical training in Melbourne after graduating from the University of Otago, receiving the Gold Medal in General Practice. He completed a Diploma in Surgical Anatomy from Melbourne University concurrently with his specialist training.
Andrew undertook a further 3 years of advanced training in Bariatric & Minimally Invasive Surgery. This included the prestigious Phoenix Health Bariatric Fellowship in Liverpool, England which enabled him to master the most up to date Bariatric surgical techniques and manage complex cases.
His principal fields of interest are bariatric surgery, endoscopic, hernia and gallbladder surgery. He is currently a Surgical Trainer for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Andrew values the highest quality of personalised patient care. He is passionate about empowering patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
