Bariatricians are doctors with an interest and expertise in the medical management of morbid obesity.
Bariatricians are involved with:
- Non Surgical weight loss programs.
- New patient assessment prior to surgery.
- Post operative review after surgery.
- Band adjustment and counselling.
In all cases they will liase with your GP to jointly manage your bariatric issues.
A Bariatrician is available most days for emergency management of band problems. They are part of the team who will assess and sharpen up any of your comorbidities before surgery and assist with your follow up following surgery.
