Dr Adam Boyt completed his surgical training in Perth after graduating from the University of Melbourne’s medical school. His medical studies followed a science degree in biochemistry and neurophysiology at the University of Western Australia. He completed his PhD concurrently with his medical training.
During 2015 he was our Bariatric Fellow and has now received accreditation as a bariatric surgeon and joins our team as an associate.
His principal fields of interest are bariatric and hepato-biliary surgery with an emphasis on laparoscopic/minimally invasive techniques. His research is currently focused on the effect of obesity surgery on endocrine pathways and overall physiological function. He is also involved in developing automated GPS based alarm systems for the automobile industry as a chairman of IMR technology. Outside of surgery Adam has a superb voice singing with St George Choir.
